The WCYC’s 85th Anniversary Celebration was held at Dave & Buster’s.
Thank you Ed and Mindy for another fantastic event . You out did yourselves. The setup was first class with all the signs for the Ship’s Store, payment area, etc.
The evening started out with a visiting hour. Raffle tickets were sold along with a beautiful Ship’s Store set up. Commodore Gill made some announcements and we welcomed 2 new Members; the Bellafaires & the Bertrands that were voted in at the last board meeting. Unfortunately the Bellafaires were not able to attend so we’ll welcome them at their next event. See the Welcome bios on our newest members.
We had a Saw Horse nomination which was voted unanimously in favor of giving Vice Commodore McNamara yet another Saw Horse. I believe our 85th Birthday celebration was also an 85th Saw Horse nomination for the McNamara’s. Although the VC tried to get out of it by blaming the Commodore, it didn’t work. I’m thinking if the dinghy is floating away with the line still tied to our rail …..Yep. Mac’s at fault. After all was said and done, McNamara graciously took the Saw Horse.
Dinner was great with plenty of food. VandenBerg’s won the raffle. Is anyone surprised? Irish Luck must have been on their side (isn’t it always). Love their vibe!!
