2024 WCYC Sawhorse Fishing Tournament - Sept 28, 2024

A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will go to charities supporting kids and families to experience fun on the water 

Once we received your request for tournament registration you will be sent a registration form with instructions and how to make payment.  

Forms & payment must be completed by 9/24/24 and sent to dcgultevent@aol.com

• $400/Boat
• Must Register by 9/24/24

Includes:

• Entry into tournament 
• Award Breakfast on Sun, 9/29
• Raffle Drawing including: Fishing Rod, Electric Car Charging Station for home, Raffle Basket, Gift Certificates and much more
• Swag bag for boat crew includes tournament ball cap and more

Does Not Include:

• Extra breakfast for non-anglers.  Spouses/friends may attend breakfast for $25pp.  RSVP for additional guests by 9/24/24
• Additional Raffle for "Dinner for 4 at Ocean 48" valued at $600.00  Only 20 tickets sold at $100.00 each

Trophies:

• 1st Place - $750
• 2nd Place - $350
• 3rd Place - $250

Jackpot/Side Bets(Individual Bets):

• Jackpot #1 - Most pelagic fish caught
• Jackpot #2 - Largest pelagic fish by wieght
• $50.00 per person for each Jackpot.  
• 50% of Jackpot(s) goes to Charity

Friday, 9/27 - Captain's Meeting:

• 6:30PM - Zoom meeting to go over rules and answer any questions

Saturday, 9/28: 

• 6 am - Lines in the Water
• 5 pm - Lines out of the Water 
• 6 pm - Final weigh-in

Sunday, 9/29: 

• 9:30 am Awards Breakfast at Dana West YC
• 10:30 am Winners and Trophy Presentation 
• 11:00 am Raffle Ticket Drawing 

• Boats do not have to be out of Dana Point and anyone can participate. You do not need to be a WCYC member to enter a boat or be a participant.  Ask your boat neighbor, family or friends to participate and come have fun
• Tournament runs 9/28, with Lines in the Water at 5am & Lines out of the Water by 5pm
• ALL weigh-ins must be completed by 6pm on 9/28.  Most fuel docks have the equipment to weigh the fish for you. Check their Saturday business hours. 
• Fishing area: SoCal Coast
• 4 anglers/boat to include the captain
• ALL anglers MUST have current fishing licenses.
• Eligible Catch: Pelagic Fish only(Bluefin, Yellowtail, Yellowfin, Swordfish, Marlin, Dorado, Spearfish, Wahoo)
• Judging: 1 point per pound. Most points win.
• Marlin 100 points- Must TAG AND RELEASE and present photo to the nearest boat in the water.
